Casa de Paz is a newly
formed charity organization in Rosarito, Baja Calif, Mexico.
A fund raising
party will take place on August 13, 1999 at the Fox Studio, just south of Rosarito.
It will be held in the sets where the Titanic was produced. The dress is formal
attire (suits for the men, long dresses for the women). Don’t miss it. Admission

The goals of the organization
are: - To support
the quality of life for Mexican citizens by providing physical, emotional and
spiritual care to the dying and their families

To provide effective pain control and symptom management.
- To
provide cost free community education to both US and Mexican schools, and churches.
Casa
de Paz is an independent community based, nonprofit hospice that will provide
compassionate, specialized care and vital services for terminally ill patients
free of charge. It is supported solely by donations and volunteer efforts. “I
am conscious that there is no place in Baja California to attend to patients in
their terminal stage. The poor have to look to the Health Department. Unfortunately,
we don’t have a dignified place to die.”
